West Trenton, N.J. - The New Jersey State Police announced today that 32 people were arrested, including a police officer and public works employee, in the takedown of two independent drug trafficking organizations operating out of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Roman-Porpora was charged on a summons and released pending a future court appearance. Hemenway is currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River pending a detention hearing. Berkeley Township police said Detective Michael Tier was the lead detective on the case, and was assisted by Berkeley detectives and police officers, along with detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutors Narcotic Strike Force, the Lacey Township Detective Bureau, the Ocean Gate Police Department and the Ocean County Regional SWAT team.
